BPDP enters an MoU with INC to build two 225 MW capacity combined cycle power plants

Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB), established in 1972, is the authority for planning, construction and operation of power generation and transmission facilities throughout Bangladesh and for distribution in urban areas except metropolitan city of Dhaka and its adjoining area.

BangladeshPower Development Board inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Energy Holdings International INC and its subsidiary EHII MENA DMCC, Dubai, UAE to build two 225 megawatts (mw) capacity combined cycle power plants to generate 450 mw of electricity in total. As per the MoU, one of the 225 mw capacity power plants will be built at Bibiyana and the other at Fenchuganj or any other suitable place.
